WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends of Seneca Youth Football:
Are you ready for some football?!! My name is Glenn Hastie, your President for the Seneca Youth Football Organization. On behalf of the entire Seneca Youth Football Executive board, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2009 season. With registration for the upcoming season already underway, I am excited to build on our recent successes and our goal of providing kids the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and participate in the sport of football while building a strong foundation and feeder program for Seneca High School.
Our mission is to develop the finest program possible for our children by providing and maintaining a safe, structured, and properly supervised athletic program. We strive for excellence in our program by teaching discipline, responsibility, self-respect, character and teamwork. Of course, we also strongly encourage our players to not only excel in athletics, but to recognize the importance in achieving success in academics throughout the player’s entire school career.
I have detailed the many positive attributes that football teaches a young man. These attributes are taught at Seneca Youth Football by some of the best coaches in our league. These men dedicate themselves to providing the very best teaching that can be given. They are men that have been carefully selected and come to our program with many years of coaching experience. I personally have three boys that play for three different coaches. I can say with confidence that they are in very good hands and are learning positive life lessons along with the game of football. Many thanks go to our coaches as well as their families. Most of them won’t get to sit down to a hot dinner from August through early December and are owed a huge debt of gratitude by our entire organization.
I would like to personally thank the Executive Board, their families and all of the parents and families who have shown support for our organization. I also want to extend the Board’s sincere appreciation for all of our sponsor’s, advertisers, patrons, parents, volunteers, team Mom’s and friends for your generous contributions and continuing support to help our organization become a success. It would be impossible to run a program such as this without this generous support.
Please keep in mind that SYF is always looking for individuals or local businesses that would like to sponsor or make a donation to our youth football program. SYF is a 501 © 3 Non-Profit Youth Organization incorporated in the State of New Jersey. All monies donated go directly to support the program, including providing for scholarships to those players that might otherwise be unable to participate.
We are also always in need of volunteers to assist with our organization. The workload is large but many hands make the workload easier for all. I would encourage you to volunteer and help our kids through the giving of your time. You will find that by volunteering you end up getting more out of it than what you put in. It truly is a rewarding experience and teaches our children that great things can happen when groups of people come together and work towards a common goal.

Please feel free to navigate around the site. We strive to keep you up to date with the site and ask for your guidance and input on how we can improve it.
We are looking forward to this 2009 Season with anticipation and pride for a great year filled with much hard work, fun, laughter and success.
